South West Community Builds can offer any of the following services for Phase One (planning & funding) and we will work with your community group to tailor our services to compliment your existing organisation: –

  • Identify the needs of the community & user groups
  • Develop a business plan
  • Create marketing materials
  • Offer community support & buy-in
  • Produce community consultation reports
  • Develop plans through an Architect for planning permission & Building Control
  • Introduce eco-credentials into the design
  • Apply for planning permission
  • Lead a community grant funding/fund raising team
  • Produce & submit applications for grant funding

During Phase Two (construction) we can offer the following services : –

  • Project manage and produce full costings for the project, including time management, sub-contractors etc
  • To work with the community volunteers who can provide labour
  • To work with local suppliers to help reduce the build costs
  • To organise the sub contract teams
  • To be the Site Management Team once the project enters the build stage, through to completion
  • To monitor Health & Safety on site with full CDM
